It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the web portal of Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS).
NAIHS is a non-for-profit endeavor of the Welfare Fund of the Nepali Army in the field of health professions' education. Under its three colleges (College of Medicine, College of Nursing, and College of Medical Polytechnic),NAIHS currently caters six diploma level programs, three bachelor level programs, and thirteen master level post-graduate programs in different areas of the medical field. Over the past ten years (after being established in the year 2010), NAIHS has proven itself to be one of the premier institutes in the field of health professions' education by achieving excellent results in the final board examinations. NAIHS will continue to strive for the best by adding new academic programs at the Bachelor's level, Postgraduate level (new MD/MS programs), and super-specialty level (DM/MCh programs) in the near future.
As the leader of this institution, I am thankful to each and every faculty member, administrative staff and technical staff for putting their best possible efforts in facilitating our students and setting an example of an institute committed to quality medical education. I am equally thankful to our students who, among many options, chose this institution and gave us an opportunity to work with in attaining a better learning environment and consequently, a higher level of academic performance. At this juncture, I must acknowledge the facilitation and support provided by the Welfare Planning Directorate, without which the institution would have not been able to shape itself in its current form.
Our teaching hospital, Shree Birendra Hospital has also been an excellent center of learning over the past years. I am greatly indebted to all the faculty members, teaching staff, and the administration of Shree Birendra Hospital for undertaking the commitment of teaching the students of NAIHS on top of the round-the-clock clinical services they are currently providing.
I strongly feel that our academic and co-academic activities impart a sense of the core values we share at our institute-commitment to service, greater standards of work ethics, and dedication for attaining excellence in our work.
Thank You!Prof. Dr. Nagendra Bahadur KC
