Institutional Review Committee(IRC) with collaboration Department of Community Medicine of NAIHS hosted a five days training on Basic Research Methodology targeting students enrolled in Post Graduate program in this institution. Training was conducted for 5 days i.e. from 26th- 30th August 2019(9th to 13th Bhadra, 2076).
The objective of this workshop was to introduce the basics of research methodology and to teach how to write a research proposal for candidates enrolled in Post Graduate program.
The opening of Ceremony was inaugurated by chief guest of program Brig.Gen. Prof. Dr. Nagendra Bahadur K.C. Principle of College of Medicine- NAIHS in the presence of other deligates Prof.Dr.Lochana Shrestha, Chairman of IRC, Head of Department (Community Medicine) NAIHS and Faculties of NAIHS. The co-ordinator of the training, Maj.Dr.Naveen Phuyal, formally opened the training with a welcome of speech from Brig.Gen.Prof.Dr.Nagendra Bahadur K.C. Principle of College of Medicine- NAIHS, focused on importance of research in PG level and with key note message on ethics that are to be followed during the execution of their thesis. Likewise Prof Dr. Lochana Shrestha discussed on the area of getting proposal accepted by the IRC and functions of IRC as well as role of IRC to get research published.
In total 47 participants including Five candidates enrolled for Master in Nursing and four MD/MS students of PG 1st batch 2nd year got training about basics of research methodology. Training highlighted the areas like designing research, basic statistics, writing research proposal and other various issues that might help during the accomplishment of Research Thesis.
